A timber windows company has reported a surge in business as more and more people decide to invest in their own properties rather than move.

Countryside Timber Windows, which was founded by Edward Burgess in Felixstowe in 1996, opened its showroom at Hall Farm Park, in Fornham St Martin, in July.

"We were doing a lot of our work in the villages around Bury St Edmunds and the opportunity to open a showroom here came along," said John Lay, who runs the showroom. "We are finding a lot of people investing in their property rather than moving," he said."
